About us

The protection of our planet is everyone’s responsibility.

          Unfortunately we overload the planet. We take the resources and entrails of the earth that we need to survive and develop without proper recovery of the received resources. Let’s invest in the future of humanity by combining efforts to generate, analyze and prevent problems of global environmental significance. The agricultural sector of the economy is the main national land user and thus forms the landscape in the countryside. It has a direct and indirect effect on the natural environment and depends on natural resources itself.

Mission of the site

          Therefore, high-quality statistical information and analysis of the efficiency of agricultural production and the environmental consequences of such activities helps to develop the effective areas and improve the agrarian and environmental policies.

We want to narrow the gap between producers and users of statistical agrarian and environmental information using scientifically based tools and methods for processing agro-ecological data and their proper statistical estimation, to expand the opportunities of interested parties applying the latest statistical digital technologies.

This site contains information about the activities of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine (crop statistics, livestock statistics, and agro-ecological statistics). Besides, we provide the statistical assessment of the environmental implications of the activities of agricultural enterprises (effective use of land resources, emissions of hazardous substances, the formation, storage and disposal of waste, costs on environmental protection).
The purpose of our research is to create the society’s ability to generate, access, analyze, use and match agro-ecological indicators and scientific knowledge about them.

Agro-ecological indicators are used for:

– Controlling the impact of agriculture on the environment;

– Statistical assessing of the impact of agrarian and environmental policies on the environmental management of the agricultural sector;

– Informing agricultural and environmental policy decisions;

– Illustrating agro-ecological relations to the wide audience.Agro-ecological indicators (AEIs) monitor the integration of environmental problems into the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) at the EU level using 28 indicators for monitoring the integration of environmental problems in the CAP.
